I grew up in this town and it once contained evidence of charming old history. It turned into a corporate chain store/condo loving economy rather then a family economy. We had many opportunities to revamp historical culture that were family oriented. I am not surprised that children are addicted to drugs in suburbs like Newington, Connecticut. What is there to do these days? Reopening drive ins, would have been a wonderful asset in our town. It would have also been a fantastic place to have a carnival, car shows, farmer markets, flea markets and small festival music events are some examples. Another charming potential asset to the town that is recently being demolish is T-bowl. When I come home several times a year, that is where I go with my family. It is being replaced with another furniture store? What are some fun ways to spend time with family?? Does the town even care about the middleclass town?? Wouldn't a town want to build economy for small businesses and support their middleclass town? Family Values?? I want variety beyond chain restaurants, stores full of furniture (that was made in poor countries, with unfair wage, with poor safety regulations). I want to have options of things to do with my family, I hope my family relocates soon.
