Long story short, I have a 24 hour rental which I return 19 hours ahead of schedule and because of the negligent of the staff running this location (which btw has really poor reviews), I ended up paying for an extra day; meaning an additional $177.00.
After 3 weeks, Budget Corp. issued a full refund after a thorough review of my case. Thanks Budget. Will do business again!!!
I was pleased with the condition and cleanliness of the car I rented and the convenience of parking my car in the Budget parking lot. The manager, Lisa, even applied a discount for me that I had tried to use online but was not able. The office hours are very flexible, and they are even open for several hours on Sunday. I would definitely rent from them again.
Had a one way daily rental from Boston to Newington, CT; picked up the car at 2:00pm at Logan Airport and dropped it off at the Berlin Turnpike, Newington, CT location (apparently independently operated) at approx. 7pm on the SAME day. Because it was afterhours and the office was closed, I parked the car in the back, on an assigned return parking spot, and dropped off the keys in the “Express Car Return” box, following the respective directions listed on the same box.
To my surprise, I was charged an extra day, totaling $177.00. I tried to approach Lisa, the store manager, to no success. Contacted the Corporate office, still to no success. They are asking me for the Budget Rapid Return slip which I don’t have, because I dropped it off in the return box along with the keys, as requested.
This is a follow up review on my issue with Budget.
Don't go here. Cars or less than new. And dirty and costumer service desk at location does little to rectify mistakes they made on there side. Long story short I didn't get my rental which was all ready paid. But on other noted budgets 1 800# customers service was great! Gave me a full refund without the $150 cancelation fee.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE EVER. I rented a car in April for one week. The day I was to returned it I called to see if I could bring the car back the next day and how much it would be. I returned the vehicle the next day, Easter Sunday, and left the appropriate documents , keys Et. and took pictures of the car. I called on that Monday to follow up to ensure that they checked the car and the guy said they received everything. They never forwarded me a copy of the receipt either by mail or email with the final charges as I requested. The charge finally shows up on my credit car SIX MONTHS later and they tacked on FOUR additional days to the bill at $45 per day plus taxes fees and surcharges. A rental that should have been around 225 or so was now almost 500. Budget and my credit car company is investigating it but when I called this vendor directly to see if they could assist me the woman was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive telling me that they don’t keep records past 3 months and I needed to call the national office, which I already had done. I will definitely be filing a complaint with the state of Connecticut on Avis/Budget and this store and will never rent from the company again. Stay away from these scammers.
Everyone we worked with was courteous and helpful. The location is super convenient; selection is a bit limited, but we received excellent service.
Very disappointed with this company; been customer for almost 10 years but after what happened on August 26th, will look for another car rental company!
